Description |
---|
Information flow control regulates where information is allowed to travel within a network and between interconnected networks. The flow of all network traffic must be monitored and controlled so it does not introduce any unacceptable risk to the network infrastructure or data. For example, a router or firewall at the perimeter must only allow web traffic outbound received from a web proxy and directing all returning web traffic to the web proxy. Information flow control enforcement is not a function of DNS other than verification of source via DNSSEC. |
